Renegade ends its World of Darkness publishing partnership with White Wolf
Why this matters: our read
The notice settles who publishes from 2027. It doesn't say how stores reorder after that, and Renegade leaves White Wolf to explain its own plans. A day later Renegade renewed a separate Hasbro licence.
Renegade Game Studios said on September 30 that it will stop publishing World of Darkness tabletop roleplaying games at year end. From 2027, White Wolf will handle development and publishing in-house.
Renegade’s FAQ sets the wind-down: webstore sales while supplies last through 2026, then no new sales; already-bought digital files stay in customer accounts. Last Renegade releases are Vampire: The Masquerade Courts of the Damned and Werewolf: The Apocalypse Tribes of Gaia, both October 2026. Organised play continues through year end, then moves to White Wolf. The notice does not say how stores reorder after 2026, and leaves White Wolf to explain its own plans.
Our publishing partnership with White Wolf will be wrapping up at the end of 2026.
On October 1 Renegade announced it had renewed its separate Hasbro tabletop licence. That second primary shows the World of Darkness exit is not a full stop on Renegade’s licensed publishing, and does not reverse the White Wolf wind-down.
